“San José’s is about 4,035 square feet, also with a covered patio area for seating. San José’s signed the lease in early 2022 and it will open in June. The tenant representative was Randall Gill of Coldwell Banker RE. There are five other José’s in Central Florida,” the report states.

Broker Jimmy Layson of commercial real estate firm Prakas & Co says San Jose’s (and its upcoming neighbo Sonny’s) are “sure to be anchors in the restaurant scene on Apopka Vineland, located right by the Disney entrances for tourists, but will also have a strong customer base of locals with all the rooftop developments in neighboring Windermere and Dr. Phillips.”

Featuring a classic Tex-Mex-style menu of enchiladas, burritos, fajitas, tortas and loaded nachos, the chain has been a mainstay in the central Florida landscape since its debut in 2000. Today, the restaurant boasts outposts in Ocoee, Tavares, Clermont, and Winter Garden.

Until the Altamonte Springs location opens, readers can readily sample San Jose’s popular dishes at the locations listed above. No opening date has been announced.
