Orlando seems to be the landing place for more Chicago-style dogs and sandwiches. According to a plan review filed with the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, we can expect to find a new Portillo’s location at 8011 West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway

When we will see the new location is unknown. On the Portillo’s website, there is no new or announcement regarding the unit. What Now reached out to CEO Michael Osanloo, who did not provide any information.

Thankfully, we won’t have to venture north to the Windy City to find Chicago-style Italian beef sandwiches and hot dogs. The brand already has an established outpost in Orlando on Palm Parkway.

The company was founded with humble beginnings all the way back in 1963. Dick Portillo began in a hot dog stand in Villa Park, Illinois. Since then, the brand has established itself as a Chicago staple and has grown to a 60+ unit presence throughout the country.
