Nona Street Bistro is considered the first fully customizable high-end food truck of Central Florida. It launched in 2021 and quickly gained a loyal customer base, catering exclusive private events such as serving the Boston Red Sox during spring training and its subsequent season. Its second concept, Nona Street Pizza, will be a food truck that serves pizza, as well as American and hispanic staples, outside of Brewlando, where customers can purchase an array of draft beers to accompany their meal. Maldonado Feurtes says he also hopes to implement a beer pizza dough in the future.
“Our goal is to keep expanding each year more, while helping other people with similar dreams and make them true,” Maldonado Feurtes tells What Now Orlando. “I can’t run all of this by myself, so I hope I can inspire and help others that really want to grow in the industry, but maybe don’t have the needed resources.”
By the end of the year it will also launch its third concept, Nona Street Taqueria, which will be an authentic taco joint with bold flavors and ingredients.
Maldonado Fuertes graduated with a degree in culinary arts from the lionized Le Cordon Bleu in Paris. He also has degrees in hospitality from Cornell University and Johnson & Wales University. He has worked at various establishments in Orlando from mom and pop shops, to Disney and Universal Studios, to luxury hotels and country clubs.
