A self-described fitness enthusiast, Franchisee Donnette Reid-King will open Club Pilates in the Celebration Pointe development at World Drive and Interstate 4 in Celebration sometime next year. Following 30 years in the corporate world, Reid-King was looking for a change.
“Almost four years ago, I started the search for the next chapter in my career. I wanted to do something that helps maintain the health and well-being of people, and I was searching for a business that was going to be the right fit for me.”
She worked with a business broker and explored several other fitness-centered concepts before feeling drawn to Club Pilates.
“I liked that the brand was supported from my perspective with the marketing and business planning,” said Reid-King. “As someone who leads an active life and wants to be the best version of themself, I felt like I fit the demographic that this modality is geared toward.”
Club Pilates offers low-impact, full body workouts that challenge the mind and body. Members can choose from a variety of classes rated by level, from Foundation (beginners) to Mastery. With names like Reformer Flow, which is geared toward strengthening and lengthening muscles to F.I.T. class, which stands for Functional Interval Training, and incorporates high intensity cardio and lower intensity strength training, there’s something for everyone.
While this will be Reid-King’s first Club Pilates franchise, there are currently nine other locations across Central Florida. With the original 2021 opening date delayed by construction, Reid-King now anticipates that Club Pilates Celebration will open sometime during the 2nd Quarter of 2022. The business will join Alora Salon & Skin Care at Celebration Pointe.
Celebration Pointe is a grocery-anchored development with 127,277 square feet of retail and restaurant space. The area enjoys direct proximity to Interstate 4 and to the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, Epot, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Disney World resorts.
