What Now on Monday spoke with co-owner Catherine Le, who confirmed that the restaurant is in its early pre-opening stages. Le reports that they are seeking permits and hope to begin construction soon. She didn’t have an opening date to share, aside from estimating that it will take three to four months to get all the work done.

Per the plan review filing, we should expect to find the new Vietnamese and French café at 831 North Mills Avenue. At this location, La Femme Banh Mi will near eateries like Chi-Kin, the Strand and Pho 88. This will be the brand’s first location.

Specifics about the restaurant’s menu and operations are unknown. The plan review was filed on March 26.
