Conveyer-belt sushi concept Kura Sushi will soon be coming to the Waterford Lakes Town Center at 413 N Alafaya Trail in Orlando, according to a recent report in The Orlando Business Journal. It will be the Japanese brand’s second Orlando metro location after its debut at 11579 Regency Village Drive. No specific address has been announced.

The Business Journal describes the restaurant’s concept as offering sushi “on a conveyor belt that runs throughout the restaurant, which includes the ability to order rolls to the table via the conveyor system or pick from an assortment of rolls off the lower conveyer belt,” adding that customers may also order soup, noodles, and desserts.
Sushi purists tired of fusion or Americanized sushi can be heartened by Kura Sushi’s simple, traditional approach. “We pay particular attention to ingredients, taste, and preparation for all of our dishes,” Kura Sushi states on their website. “Our philosophy of “muten” or “nothing added” is an ongoing promise that our food is prepared using fresh, high quality ingredients free of artificial sweeteners, seasonings, preservatives and colorings.”
What Now Orlando reached out to Robert Kluger, Chief Development Officer, to inquire about the upcoming location and its potential opening dates, but he was not immediately available for comment.
