Now, the coffee shop and cafe is opening its second location on 2295 S Hiawassee Rd, across from the MetroWest Golf Club in Veranda Park.

This expansion comes with a transfer of owners, as owner Achilles “Ash” Popal leaves his first location in the care of new owner, Jem, who, frequented the cafe as a customer for over 10 years before taking over the Wilshire location.

In fact, Jem ended up taking over the cafe after a conversation they had one day where Jem told Ash, “Did you know because of this place… you birthed this dream of mine to have my very own coffee shop?” to which Ash replied, “Well, just buy this one!”

When WNO talked with Jem, she told us that Ash will be operating the new location in Veranda Park, and that the space will be very similar to what the Art Cafe’s customers are used to, but with more events planned, such as open mics and wine tastings.
