Wing It On, the growing hot wings brand, will expand throughout the central Florida area, according to recent public records. The first will be opening in Mt. Dora at 18834 US Hwy 441.
“We don’t use small wings or jumbo wings, we use medium-cut wings,” franchisee David Miller tells What Now Orlando, explaining the Wing It On’s unique characteristics. “We’re about to bring a load of fries onto the menu too. That hasn’t been announced yet”
When asked why he decided to franchise the brand, Mr. Miller offers a quick and simple response.
“Easy. The product’s awesome. The combination of items on the menu is probably the biggest draw.”
Horizon West, Leesburg, and Oviedo are all target brick-and-mortar areas for Mr. Miller and his team, while also relying on food trucks, or “wings on wheels”, to establish a brand presence in the area. The goal, he states, is to be in “at least five other locations in the Orlando area.”
Readers unfamiliar with Wing It On’s diverse menu could start with Mr. Miller’s personal favorite: “Nashville Hot Wings with a side of Chipotle Ranch.”
Until Mr. Miller realizes his central Florida expansion, sager hot wing fans can rely on an August 23rd opening for the Mt. Dora location.
