“It’s my second restaurant after M&M’s Cafe, which closed around four years ago,” owner Julissa Aybar tells What Now Orlando. “We’ll be serving Hispanic finger food such as tostones, carne frita, patacon, mofongo, fried fish, and chicharrones.”

When asked about the actual space and its ambience, Aybar describes a spacious, active venue.

“It’ll be around 6500 square feet with a capacity for around 300 people. We’ll host events and, eventually, we want to incorporate outdoor seating.”

Given that the restaurant is in a relatively early stage of development, it seems that an opening date is still several months away.

“We are projecting a fall opening,” says Aybar.

Readers searching for a reference point to help build expectations should note that M&M’s Cafe, Aybar’s previous establishment, formerly located at 2533 Old Vineland Rd in Kissimmee, enjoyed rave reviews from a diverse clientele and served largely the same menu set to debut at Mamajuana’s in late 2023.
