“Central Florida is an important area for us,” Salad Station Founder and CEO Scott Henderson said in a company press release. “Our Tampa location has been a tremendous success and we’d like to build off that along the I-4 corridor.”

The brand’s entry into the Orlando market is part of a larger national expansion plan which aims for 50 locations by 2024 and 100 by 2027 which, if successful, will ensure the brand’s household name status in the genre of healthy fast casual.

Those unfamiliar with the brand’s concept may be best guided by their own definition, stated on the company website: “Excellent customer service, family + farming atmosphere, fresh local ingredients, and the pay by the pound concept are a few qualities that make The Salad Station unique. We pride ourselves on the friendly, fun and fresh experience our guests have when visiting our stores. The “pay by the pound” concept is very different for many, but our guests love the fact that they are paying for exactly what they created. Every ingredient on their plate was placed with a purpose.”
