Greek Restaurant to Debut in Maitland

According to a recent press release, a new Greek restaurant is soon coming to Maitland.

“Another deal by Acre Commercial going into Maitland! Introducing a fresh and innovative concept, Parea Greek Taverna is a new venture from the team behind the renowned Turkish restaurant group, Bosphorous Turkish Cuisine. Taking over the former Outpost space in Maitland, this exciting project is set to bring a whole new dining experience to the area,” the release states.

“‘Parea’ is the Greek word for companionship and community and is often used to refer to a
close circle of friends. “This word with a beautiful meaning perfectly encapsulates the atmosphere we aim to create in our Greek taverna,” explains owner Alexandra Kopatsis Southern.”

“Drawing inspiration from their deep-rooted Greek heritage, the husband-and-wife duo, Chris
and Alexandra alongside their business partners Doved and Tammy Sexter are passionate about preserving and sharing their family traditions through food. With recipes passed down through generations, they are excited to offer these beloved dishes to the Orlando community.”

“Expect to find all the classic Greek favorites on the menu, alongside some creative additions
that showcase the unique flavors of Greece. From Yiayia Phyllis’ lemon potatoes to Yiayia Koula’s
bougatsa, each dish is a labor of love that promises to delight diners.”

“Renowned designer Ray Schaefer of Gravity Architecture & Design is leading the restaurant’s
aesthetic, aiming to transport guests to a rustic Greek taverna with warm wood tones, stone accents,
and subtle hints of blue. The result is an immersive dining experience that celebrates Greek culture
