The new fast-food spot is planned to appear at 8718 International Dr, according to the report. Currently, a Friendly’s location is open at this address, but it is planned to be demolished to make way for a 3,147 square foot unit with a drive-thru. On the corner of Austrian Court and International Drive, the new chicken joint will neighbor restaurants like: Taj Mahal and Vito’s Chop House.

The Raising Cane’s unit will not be ready for quite some time. The brand told the OBJ that they expect to open in the third quarter of 2024, and they will hire around 100 people.

This corporate-owned unit is one of many planned for the Central Florida area. We’ve previously reported on the brand’s intentions to bring their notorious fried chicken fingers to the area, and may see locations popping up as soon as the end of the year.
