Potbelly Corporation, the neighborhood sandwich shop, is opening its first location in Orlando, marking the brand’s entry into the Central Florida market. Located in the Milk District along one of Orlando’s primary retail corridors, the Colonial Landing shopping plaza, the shop will open on Tuesday, January 23 at 2714 East Colonial Drive.
This will be the first of twelve planned locations in a multi-unit agreement with Sugarland Investment Group, LLC, which will open shops over the next seven years. Shari Nasir, CEO of Sugarland, brings an accomplished background in business, healthcare technology and multi-family housing developments to her team’s Potbelly franchise investment.

I’m confident our first location in the middle of Orlando’s busy shopping area will become a beloved mealtime destination.”
The shop opening will take place Tuesday, January 23, and will give the first 50 guests a free sandwich coupon for their next visit each day through Friday, January 26.
An “invite only” VIP event is set for the evening prior on January 22, from 5:30-8:00 pm. Local media are invited to join Shari for a guided tour of the shop, followed by a parking lot party featuring:

· Live musical performances
In addition to the new Orlando shop, Potbelly announced in mid-2023 that it has nearly 50 locations in various stages of development throughout the state of Florida. Over the past 18 months, the brand has finalized multi-unit agreements with five franchise groups to develop another 40 shops in five additional Florida regions: Tampa, Fort Myers, Broward County, Gainesville and Panama City.
