In a press packet, owner Ovais Jalil shared his mission in creating “a one-of-a-kind experience that encompasses some of the best aspects of cuisine, mixology, modern art, and entertainment into one lively and comfortable space crafted specifically for the savvy Orlando market.”

Debonair Supper Club will feature local Orlando artist JEFRË’s works in the space.

Jalil detailed in a phone conversation his vision for the experience: “people can go and relax and feel safe and entertained. That’s what we want to do.”

The supper club will appear at 183 S Orlando Ave, in the building that once hosted the now-shuttered Chela Tequila and Tacos. The unit has been vacant since March of 2020.

According to the press packet, they plan to offer elevated new American fare for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also, they will feature a Sommelier curated Wine-Down-Wednesday and a Sunday Brunch; for the late-night lounge there will be a complete VIP experience.

Currently, Jalil is in the process of obtaining permits to overhaul the 6,300 square foot space and hopes to open as early as August 2022.

According to Bungalower, a permit request details a plan to replace tiling, remove an old bar, non-structural wall and decorative handrail to clear more space in the unit.

The establishment was first thought to be related to the Debonair Social Club of Chicago, which is known for its parties, dance floor and DJ performances. Jalil confirmed that the two establishments have no relationship.

Debonair Supper Club will also be surrounded by other clubs and bar venues, making its location optimal for a modern take on traditional nightlife.
