If you’re a fan of the Georgia-based company that serves chicken many, many ways, you’ll be thrilled to hear it has plans to open a new store in Seminole County. Chick-fil-A will reportedly open a store on part of a 2.43-acre lot at 1454 Tuskawilla Road in Winter Springs. The lot is across the street from an existing 3,328 square-foot drive-thru.

According to Orlando Business Journal, Chick-fil-A submitted a preliminary plan to Seminole County and intends to build on one of the two potential lots on the site. A pre-school and daycare currently operates on the property at 1460 Tuskawilla Road; the site is owned by Altamonte Springs-based Kidtown Properties LLC.

Although Chick-fil-A has its humble beginnings as a diner in the Atlanta suburb Hapeville, the company, which Truett Cathay first founded in 1946 under the name Dwarf Grill, has since grown to operate over 2,500 restaurants in 47 states and Canada.

As the proposal has just been submitted, there’s no word yet on when the new store will open. But you can always visit one of the 42 stores already operating in the Orlando-area to satisfy any cravings you might have. There’s no shortage of chick-n-strips and grilled chicken sandwiches to choose from.
