The upcoming bar and grill Alligator Reef Club will be changing its originally-planned address, according to a recent filing with the State of Florida. After considering an opening at 614 New Haven (as previously reported by What Now Orlando), the restaurant will be moving a few doors down to 529 New Haven, across the street from Sun Shoppe Cafe and near Henegar Center for The Arts.
When asked what the restaurant will offer customers, co-owner Debra Malone tells What Now Orlando, “It will be a very diverse menu and we have an excellent chef. He is in the process of building our menu, but I can tell you we’ll serve steak, some ethnic dishes, a little bit of upscale, unique dishes.”
Apart from food and beverages, Malone looks forward to serving customers entertainment in the form of acoustic music.
For future customers to get a better idea of the restaurant, Malone adds that it will have a “Key West-style vibe”, given that the three co-owners—Debra, along with David Hall and Ryan Malone—are all from Islamorada, FL. The name “Alligator Reef Club” is a reference to a reef and nearby lighthouse off the shores of the Florida key where the owners grew up.
The restaurant plans to finally open its doors by the end of November or beginning of December.
