“We can’t wait to bring the ‘Taste of Louisiana’ to even more of the Sunshine State,” Craig Colby, franchisee of the Kissimmee Walk On’s, said in a statement. “We look forward to establishing Walk-On’s as the restaurant of choice in Kissimmee, whether you’re going out for a family dinner, date night, drinks with friends or to watch a primetime matchup on the big screen.”

Walk On’s in Kissimmee has hired 200 employees for its new location at 3177 Black Lake Road. The restaurant serves Louisiana-inspired fare — think fried pork-and-rice “Boudin balls,” po-boys, blackened alligator, crawfish etouffee, gumbo and beignets — along with cocktails, beer and wine. Its dining room is centered around the restaurant’s bar, where flat-screen TVs display sports games.

Walk-On’s is holding a grand opening event on Monday starting at 10 a.m. The first 100 guests in line will be entered into a drawing to win free Walk-On’s for a year. The restaurant’s regular hours will be Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to midnight. Check out its Facebook page for updates.
