Disney BoardWalk’s much-anticipated location of Gwendolyn Rogers’s The Cake Bake Shop will no longer be opening in 2023 as the brand had previously announced. While no official statement has been made, the website recently changed the prospective opening timeframe from “2023” to simply “Coming Soon.” The reasons for the delay are not immediately clear.
“Gwendolyn is delighted to share the first look at The Cake Bake Shop® coming soon to Disney’s BoardWalk at Walt Disney World Resort®! Gwendolyn is bringing The Cake Bake Shop’s exquisite dining, delicious Afternoon Tea, delectable desserts, marvelous champagne and fanciful cocktails for an extraordinary and whimsical experience,” the establishment had previously announced along with photos of construction.
