Lazy Dog is potentially looking at up to four restaurants in the area, CEO and founder Chris Simms recently told The Orlando Sentinel. The chain is reportedly scouting out locations on International Drive and in Winter Park.

“I think this is a fantastic place to introduce our brand to more of the country,” Simms said. “I think Orlando has the opportunity to be able to both have restaurants in those areas that do have more tourists coming to them, and then at the same time, going to the suburbs and catering to the Orlando residents as well.”

Defining themselves on the company website, Lazy Dog states “We have sourced ingredients from places and farmers we love and respect. Each ingredient we use is carefully picked and prepared. We make every meal by hand each day, including all of our sauces, marinades and dressings.  We also have a seasonal menu, which is our ode to the current season, and where we celebrate Mother Nature’s beautiful bounty the best way we know how.”

Lazy Dog boasts an impressively diverse menu of American cuisine, featuring classic fare such as steak, burgers, salads, and sandwiches, along with finer offerings such as bison steak, St. Louis-style BBQ ribs, and a hearty pot roast topped with red wine sauce.

As the future area locations are in a very early stage of development, no construction or opening timeframes have been announced.
