“Orlando City Council is set to vote on a lease agreement with Foxtail for a 550-square-foot cafe and gift shop with a 280-square-foot storage area in the roughly 50-acre, city-owned botanical garden, according to city documents,” the report states.

“The co-branded cafe would go inside the former gift shop space of the Welcome Center of Leu Gardens and Foxtail would have access to a shared kitchen at the site.”

“Although Foxtail operates most of its existing locations as coffee shop-style establishments, the standard approach will be modified to provide a wider range of food and beverage options and include a gift shop selling Leu Gardens-branded items,” The Business Journal reports, citing city documents.

Defining their mission statement on the company website, Alex Tchekmeian and co-founder Iain Yeakle state “Alex and Iain launched Foxtail on simple and basic principles – to roast great coffee that guests can enjoy in an inviting and comfortable environment. Believing coffee should be purposeful, celebrated, and enjoyed, they built a company that approaches producing coffee as a craft and serving coffee as a celebration.”

Readers unfamiliar with the rapidly expanding brand can expect a classic selection of espresso-based drinks, batch brew, tea, and the brand’s “world famous cold brew.”

No opening date has yet been set.
