“Chill-N is a legacy brand from Miami, in business for over 10 years. We will be the first franchisee to bring the brand to Orlando, with Winter Park being our first and Lake Nona later in the year,” Wirth tells What Now Orlando.

When asked about his rationale for franchising the brand, Wirth responds with eloquence and specificity.

“We chose Chill-N Nitrogen Ice Cream since they’ve shown a track record of proven success in Miami,” says Wirth.

“The benefit of their business model is basically that you have ice cream producers that are giving the best product in its class: fresh, super-creamy ice cream made from scratch in front of the diner, to the final product, topped with fresh fruit, oreo’s, whatever you want.”

So what is that makes Chill-N’s product so memorable and “super-creamy”?

“Because of the deep freeze reaction between the liquid nitrogen and cream, there’s no time for ice crystals to form,” Wirth explains. “So, the end result is smoother than gelato.”

Those new to the brand can follow Mr. Wirth’s recent favorite: the Ube ice cream, a flavor derived from a Japanese purple yam which he describes as having a “stronger vanilla flavor.”

Per Mr. Wirth’s estimates, the Winter Park location should be open by the end of summer and the Lake Nona location by the end of the year, but with a possibility of a November debut.
