Tharpe reports that this will be re-opening under his leadership very soon, hopefully within the week, and a second bar will appear in the College Park neighborhood.

The College Park bar won’t be opening for a while. According to Tharpe, they have found and leased a place, but they are seeking a change of use to be approved by the city. The name and the location of the new bar will remain under wraps until the project is further along, Tharpe commented.

An owner of the popular Cleo’s Lounge, Tharpe sold and closed down last year.

Guests can expect to see a casual bar of the same style as Cleo’s. In a phone interview, Tharpe said: “We’re going to be doing what we’ve been doing for 23 years.”
