Thai Farm Kitchen to Join College Park in January 2022

Thai Farm Kitchen is already receiving a warm welcome from the College Park neighborhood as they prepare to open their doors. The restaurant is already turning heads from former NYC residents familiar with the brand. They will take over a prime location on Edgewater, formerly occupied by RusTeak Restaurant.

Owners Elizabeth and Jess Calvo tells What Now Orlando that they enjoyed the environment, ambiance, and people of College Park. It made for the perfect location to introduce their concept from Bangkok and New York City to Orlando residents.

Their original Bangkok restaurants received an award from the Thailand Ministry of Digital Economy and Society in 2016.

After opening Thai Farm Kitchen in Brooklyn in 2018, the restaurant was recognized by the New York Times. The publication named them on their “Best Bites From Around the World” in 2019. 

Thai Farm Kitchen specializes in authentic, non-Westernized Thai cuisine with some unique fusions. Inspired by Chef Elizabeth Calvo’s family of farmers and recipes inherited from her grandmother, their farm-to-table food is promised to transport you to Thailand. Of note, they’ll always ask customers what level of spiciness they prefer before preparing their dishes. “If we served the real Thai-style level of authentic spice we might have to call 911.”

Jess Calvo is your host at Thai Farm Kitchen, you’ll get to know him when you visit their new location. “We greet you with a wai, a traditional Thai greeting. We treat customers like they’re our best friends that we’re welcoming into our home for a meal. Customers will feel relaxed but also feel the rich Thai culture around them. Our location looks like fine dining but it’s fun dining, “ Calvo shares.
