Taglish 2 is Chef and Owner Mike Collantes’ third operation in under two years, opening restaurants Soseki and Perla’s Pizza. Collantes also operates a Hospitality Media brand called 86 Media to round out his restaurant collective.

As we approach 2022, the Taglish brand is undergoing a refresh to introduce new menu items to their loyal customers.

According to an interview with Orlando Sentinel, Collantes says, “We’re taking all the flavors of the Philippines in a more grab-and-go direction, shifting away from the rice bowls.”

The restaurant will grill up new burgers and sandwiches but intends to make them Filipino style. Their Royale with Cheese will be a staple menu item, with a patty of bistek beef and pork longanisa, banana ketchup, confit onions, and american cheese. They’ll also serve an adobo fried buttermilk chicken sandwich with confit onions. Appetizer favorites like Lumpia and Pinoy Street Corn will continue on the menu.

Taglish will reopen on January 1, 2022 with their updated menu. Taglish 2 at UCF is currently seeking staff and expected to open in Early 2022. Stay updated by following Taglish on Instagram
