“We have people from Heathrow driving out to our Lake Nona restaurant, so we know people want it,” he said. “It’s a vibrant area with a growing demographic that appreciates quality Peruvian cuisine. The decision to open there aligns with our strategy to target areas with a promising customer base.”

Reportedly, Rodriguez stated that he restaurant will be “about 3,000 square feet, with a big patio and about 185 seats indoors and out combined.” Construction of the restaurant is underway at Lake Mary Village Shopping Mall, a strip mall at 3801 W. Lake Mary Blvd.

“I have a Colombian restaurant coming, as well as a steakhouse. I’m a man of challenges. I like to try different concepts,” Rodriguez said to OBJ. “I love Peruvian food. It’s one of the top cuisines in the world right now. Ours is more of a Japanese and Peruvian concept, traditional flavors with a modern twist.

“Appetizers start at $12 and entrees at $18. Most of the menu items are under $30 though the chef’s specials are upwards of $58. Pisco has a full bar that serves all manner of cocktails, including drinks made with Rodriguez’s own lines of tequila,” OBJ adds.

The menu in Lake Mary will reportedly be the same as Lake Nona’s.

“It takes a while to build a menu,” said Rodriguez. “It doesn’t happen overnight. I have brought chefs up from Peru to help make the updates so we get authentic Peruvian flavors and culinary techniques. I sit with them. We try different things. We come up with ideas.” .

“I’m going to be there a lot of the time,” he said. “I’ll be there.”
