An opening date has not been set but since its still in the design stages, it likely won’t be open until 2023, according to a company spokesman. CHP Inc. in Sanford is the project architect/engineer.

Panda Express owns and runs all of its stores. It does not offer franchises with the exception of select locations in airports, universities, military bases, hospitals, casinos, amusement parks and stadiums.

In October 2021, Panda Express, the largest family-owned and operated Asian dining concept in the U.S, entered into a partnership with Beyond Meat after its plant-based Original Orange Chicken was wildly successful in a launch in limited outlets in New York City and Southern California over the summer.

Beyond The Original Orange Chicken was made available on October 27 in select locations in Florida, as well as in California, New York, Georgia, Illinois, Texas, Washington, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia.

The Panda Restaurant Group is the parent company of Panda Inn, Panda Express and Hibachi-San restaurants. The company has created a podcast to give its fans access to Panda leaders, including co-founders and co-chief executive officers, Andrew and Peggy Cherng.
