Owners Lee Wortman and Vicki Dore purchased the property in 1981, according to Bungalower, and now the two are passing it on to Aaron Dudek and Jason Anderson, local business owners of The Woods, The Lodge, and Burton’s Bar in Thornton Park.

Speaking with What Now Orlando, Dudek said the transition has been seamless, with no closures for the popular bar. He also noted most people have been curious, given the other establishments he and his business partner own, if they have plans to bring in a full-bar. The answer is, you’ll have to head to The Woods and The Lodge for that sort of thing. “If it’s not broken, we’re not going to fix it,” Dudek added.

At Sportstown, the kitchen stays open until 1AM, so you can find yourself enjoying darts, cornhole, and the establishment’s 15 televisions with a beer and a bite to eat late into the night. The outdoor area is dog-friendly, too.

Sportstown sits at 2414 E Robinson Street in East Central Park, adjacent to other bars and restaurants like Gringos Locos, Sideward Brewing Co, and Iron Cow. Head over there today to drink, rack, repeat.
