Noted Restaurateur to Open Coastal Italian Eatery in Winter Garden

“Simply Capri brings the best of Italy's Amalfi Coast to Flamingo Crossing,” the minimalist website states, adding that the restaurant will serve “wood-fired pizza, house-made pastas, classic meat and seafood dishes” among other dishes. Nick Valenti, former CEO of Patina Restaurant Group, will soon be opening Simply Capri, an Italian restaurant in the Flamingo Crossings shopping district of Winter Garden, according to recent public records and the eatery’s cryptic website. The restaurant will be located at at 114 Ruby Red Place, near PDQ Winter Garden and Starbucks.

“Simply Capri brings the best of Italy’s Amalfi Coast to Flamingo Crossing,” the minimalist website states, adding that the restaurant will serve “wood-fired pizza, house-made pastas, classic meat and seafood dishes” among other dishes. No opening date has been announced and no social media accounts yet exist. 

What Now Orlando reached out to Mr. Valenti himself to inquire about the restaurant, its features and potential opening dates, but he was not available for comments. 

Despite the abundance of mystery shrouding Simply Capri, readers can reasonably expect a memorable experience considering Mr. Valenti’s stellar history. As CEO of Patina Restaurant Group, Valenti oversaw a slew of notable establishments such as “the renowned Michelin-starred Patina Restaurant in the Walt Disney Concert Hall, Nick & Stef’s Steakhouse, Café Pinot at the Maguire Gardens, Catal, and three other restaurants in Anaheim’s Downtown Disney District; Leatherby’s Cafe Rouge at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts, Hollywood Bowl, and Pinot Brasserie in Las Vegas; and catering and food service in museums and cultural centers throughout California.” 

“On the East Coast, its portfolio features the Michelin-starred Lincoln Ristorante at Lincoln Center, New York City’s world-famous Rink at Rockefeller Center, Rock Center Café, The Sea Grill, Brasserie, Café Centro, Naples 45, The Grand Tier Restaurant at the Metropolitan Opera, La Fonda Del Sol, and STATE Grill and Bar at the Empire State Building. Other East Coast properties include Tutto Italia Ristorante at the Epcot World Showcase in Orlando, Florida,” according to a report in Leaders Mag.
