Alex Gonzalez shared with What Now Orlando that “Out of Many Street” is derived from a Jamaican proverb of “out of many, one people.” They included “Street” because of the street food they will be specializing in, and “Sol” as a nod to soul food and the Spanish language heritage.

Serving first as a pop-up cooking Mexican food around the city, longtime Orlando resident Gonzalez decided to partner with a friend of his to establish a brick-and-mortar location.

The concept is moving into 202 S Orange Blossom Trail, into the space that Pollo City occupied. When they took over the space, a fully operational kitchen came with it.

Gonzalez and his business partner decided to go ahead and open the kitchen to begin serving food while further renovations are completed. The pair is initially aiming to re-floor and repaint the building. An opening timeline is charted at about three to six months.

In a phone interview, Gonzalez commented: “we’re excited to be in town.”
