“As discussions about the future of the Skyebird space began, it became clear that we had a unique opportunity to evolve East End Market in a dynamic way,” said Ashley Coggins, Director of Operations for East End Market. “Skyebird was a beloved staple here for 11 years, and while we will miss them, we are excited for this new chapter.”

“Rion’s Ocean Room will be located next to Gideon’s Bakehouse and will feature a walk-up seafood counter with 8-12 varieties of poke that will be prepared daily. Customers will be able to choose their poke by the 1/4 pound, 1/2 pound, or full pound, with the option to enjoy it over rice. They can also choose from addons like krab salad, uni, and wakame salad,” the report states.

Rion’s is expected to open this fall.
