The national burger franchise Five Guys is preparing to expand to a new location in Clermont, FL, according to a plan review filed last week by Sarasota Seven Burgers LLC.
According to franchise owner Scott Strahm, the restaurant will feature outdoor seating and occupy a 2400 square foot suite within the expanding Cagan Crossings shopping complex on 860 US Highway 27, home to other chain eateries such as The Friar Tuck and Xurro, Churro Factory. This will be the Sarasota Seven Burgers LLC’s 18th Five Guys location.
Strahm tells WhatNow Orlando that as he is currently in the permitting process and waiting for the building to be constructed, no opening date has been set, though he expects the Clermont location to be fully operational by the end of 2022. Strahm also notes that another of his Five Guys locations will be opening in Winter Park in early 2023.
Founded in 1986, Five Guys has over a thousand locations across the United States, boasting its largest footprints in California, Florida and New York, according to the official Five Guys website. The chain features a classic American fast-food menu such as hot dogs, fries, milkshakes, customizable burgers, and their signature free peanuts.
