Dusty Dogz, a restaurant originating from Michigan, has announced that they have signed an agreement for a vendor bay at the Marketplace at Avalon Park. Dusty Dogz is known for their hot dogs, smash burgers, street tacos and much more. The Marketplace at Avalon Park is located at 3801 Avalon Park East Boulevard and includes a large food hall with over 9 eatery bays, as stated on their website
According to a press release, “Dusty Dogz offers gourmet options, from hot dogs with unique toppings to smash burgers, there is a fun twist with every menu item. They have made it their mission to not only feed the community, but to support the dogs in it as well. Portions of each purchase will go directly to a local animal shelter or rescue center.”
What Now Orlando contacted owner Sean McCartney for more information about the restaurant’s mission and offerings. McCartney says “I don’t want to just open up your average hot dog and burger place, I want to create something that involves the families, kids, and furry friends.”
His plan includes coming up with “creative ways to get the children and/or schools of Avalon involved and have little competitions, whether it be a drawing contest, color the logo contest, or come up with this month’s best gourmet hot dog or smash burger that will be put on the menu and named after you.”
McCartney says the menu created by the Dusty Dogz team was brought about by putting “some twists on a hot dog and smash burger.” The restaurant will offer “hot dogs with the snap” and “the juiciest burgers that melt in your mouth with a slight crisp to the edges.”
Dusty Dogz will open in early August, so residents and visitors in Avalon should be on the lookout for its grand opening once it is announced.
