“Mecatos’s coffee and pan de bono are definitely the best options,” franchisee Sonia Flores tells What Now Orlando when asked about her upcoming restaurant’s most representative items. “We will have both espresso and filter coffee offerings.”

Apart from Sonia Flores’s favorites, the chain serves a robust selection of both sweet offerings——cheesecake, flan, and guava pastries—and savory options—arepas, empanadas, tequeño, among others. Mecatos also provides catering services and a customer rewards program.

When asked why she chose to become a first-time franchisee with Mecatos, Flores says “Well, first of all, I love their quality of food and I believe in the brand. I love their product, it was a business I wanted to invest in.”

Finally, Flores gives a prospective insight on the restaurant’s opening date: “We are hoping to open by early 2023, but it all depends on inspections.”

Until the new Mecatos opens its doors, readers can visit the four other locations in downtown, Lake Underhill, Waterford Lakes, and Lake Nona.
