The popular frozen sweets shop Chilly Spoons Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Store at 4980 N Wickham Rd (Suite 106) in Melbourne will be operating under new ownership, according to a recent filing with the State of Florida and confirmed to What Now Orlando by new owner Kalei Harwood.
Harwood tells What Now Orlando that while no significant changes are planned for the location at this point, she hopes to get a better understanding of the business through the winter as the business flow slows down. Then, perhaps in the summer, new ideas will be implemented.
Featuring a range of ice cream and yogurt flavors and toppings such as fresh fruit, boba, cookie dough, chopped candy and cherries, Chilly Spoons operates primarily as a self-serve eatery. Harwood says that the best frozen yogurt and ice cream flavors are the cake batter, chocolate chip cookie dough, and pineapple dole whip.
When asked about what she looks forward to the most about owning a business, Harwood says “I think it’s getting to meet a lot of the local families and getting to know the regulars.”
