Currently, the team behind Taquitos El Gordo is working to revamp their building. We can expect to find the new spot at 3979 New Tampa Highway. It will be across the street from Silver Moon Drive-In Theater and next door to La Minita Tienda Y Restaurante.

Mendoza commented during the phone interview that he sees a need for more restaurants to come to this particular area in Lakeland.

An experienced restaurateur, Mendoza has been instrumental in bringing several concepts, food trucks and trailers across Florida. In addition to this Lakeland project, Mendoza has a restaurant slated to appear in the New Port Richey area as well.
