The rapidly expanding restaurant chain was created by co-owners Matthew Ting and Ernie Falco III. According to the restaurant’s website, Kona Poké was created after the co-owners “fell in love with poké after trying it for the first time on the West Coast.”

Kona Poké is “Fresh, healthy and delicious” because “poké took all of the best components of sushi and put them in an easy to eat container.” Customers can create their own poké bowl in a build-your-own style.

The online menu shows that customers can choose a base like rice or lettuce, then choose a protein like Ahi Tuna or Salmon, add mix-ins like edamame or pineapple and then top it off with a sauce and crunchy topping. And these are just a small sampling of the options.

Along with the build-your-own bowls, customers can choose from Kona Poké’s signature bowls. Some of these signature bowls are the Kona Fire Bowl, the Bourbon Chicken Bowl, the Tidal Wave Bowl, the Shoyu Ahi Poké, the Birds of Paradise and the Salmon Lover.

Kona Poké will continue to expand around Central Florida and potentially even further in the future. An opening date for this new location has not yet been announced, but those interested can check out open locations here.
