The restaurant will be managed by FLG Chicken LLC which in itself is one of three limited liability companies run by the larger Celebration Restaurant Group, based in Celebration, FL. Apart from KFC franchises, the group also runs Taco Bell and Pizza Hut stores under their respective LLCs.

Meghan Osborn, Marketing Director for Celebration Restaurant Group, tells What Now Orlando that the new Merritt Island location is currently in the permitting stage and will occupy a 1600 square foot space, which will be shared with another brand. The restaurant is projected to open in early 2023.

Founded by Colonel Sanders in Corbin, Kentucky in 1930, Kentucky Fried Chicken (more commonly referred to as KFC) has become perhaps the most recognizable and ubiquitous fried-chicken brand in the world, with over 24,000 stores in 145 countries around the globe.
