Jersey Mike’s, the nationally ubiquitous sub shop, will soon be opening its doors in Winter Springs, according to recent public records. The store will be located at 1194 Cliff Rose Dr, near The General Public House and Publix.
What Now Orlando briefly reached franchisee Sean Gillespie to inquire about the location’s potential opening dates and further expansion plans, but he did not return requests for comment by time of publication.
In any case, given his notable presence in the central Florida area, readers can expect a reliable and familiar customer experience at Gillespie’s upcoming store. A 2012 Jersey Mike’s press release describes Mr. Gillespie as exemplifying “Jersey Mike’s quest for excellence” as a franchise owner who “shares the company’s commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service and who are dedicated to giving back to the local community.”
Indeed, Gillespie is a verified giver. In 2021, he and other Jersey Mike’s franchisees donated over $167,000 to the Cannonball Kids’ Cancer Foundation, the largest corporate donation ever received by the non-profit.
“This is the largest single corporate donation CKc has received, to date,” said Valerie Solomon, CKc’s interim executive director, regarding the contribution by Gillespie and his colleagues. “We are incredibly moved by the amount of generosity and compassion here in central Florida. We are so grateful to Jersey Mike’s for their leadership during the Month of Giving and to the hundreds of community members who showed their support. This gift is the result of a wonderful partnership that demonstrates our collective impact as a community.”
