“The part that we’re most excited about is the fact that there’s going to be an immersive environment, that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into another world," Mr. Walker adds. "We’re going to tap into our theme park experience to create that.”

The Dragon Vault, a fantasy-themed restaurant, will soon be opening in downtown Sanford at 101 E 1st St, according to a recent report in The Orlando Business Journal. The restaurant will take up around 5000 square feet, occupying an “iconic 100-year old bank building.”

The League of Extraordinary Dinning LLC, made up of George Walker, David Perry, and Emad Shahid, is spearheading the restaurant. The group also runs Nautilus Coffee, Argonaut Bar, and Batter Bar, all located in central Florida.

“It’s going to be a full-service bar and upscale-casual establishment. Come casual, if you’d like, but you can also come in costume,” partner George Walker tells What Now Orlando. “We’re excited to be an enthusiasm-friendly environment.”

“The part that we’re most excited about is the fact that there’s going to be an immersive environment, that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into another world,” Mr. Walker adds. “We’re going to tap into our theme park experience to create that.”

When asked about the menu, Mr. Walker says that they are not quite ready to disclose information just yet, but he does provide some intriguing details about the equipment they intend to use.

“The plan is to have a fire-pit in the restaurant space. There will be literal swords on which the meat and vegetables are cooked over it.”

Describing the atmosphere Mr. Walker explains that the restaurant will fuse worlds upon worlds of fantasy aesthetics.

“The part about this that we think is going to be fun is: if you are fan of the fantasy genre—any slice of that—this place will feel at home at any of those homes, wizarding movies and Game of Thrones alike.”

Before the call ends, Mr. Walker shares his particular excitement at the space’s most unique feature—its century-old vault, soon to be known as “The Dragon Vault.”

“What more precious entity in the world of fantasy than golden dragon eggs? In the world of fantasy that is intersecting with the world of reality, the golden eggs will be kept safe in the dragon vault—hence the name.”

While no opening date has yet been set, Mr. Walker explains that they are awaiting the permitting processes to run and, once concluded, they will open “as soon as we can, but definitely in 2023.”
