Side Chick is set to enhance the experience of dining at Chi-Kin. The two units will be connected indoors. On the Chi-Kin side, guests can order their food, and in the Side Chick portion, guests can sit down and enjoy a “tap room” and “hang out spot.”

Le shared with What Now on Monday: “We haven’t picked a number yet, but we’re going to have anywhere in the neighborhood of 10, 15 or 20 beers on tap.” Side Chick itself will not serve food, but guests will be able to order the Korean-fried chicken from next door while enjoying the laid back environment.

On January 12, Le and his co-owners closed Matcha House down to replace it with Side Chick, according to the Facebook page.

They’ve recently received approval from their landlord for the changes they want to make to the space. Now they are working toward getting permits together, according to Le.

An opening date has not been set, but Le is hoping for the next few months.
