The popular brand is notable for its high-quality ice cream and bold flavors such as Cake Batter (invented by Cold Stone) and the legendary Founder’s Favorite, which is made up of sweet cream ice cream with pecans, brownie, fudge and caramel.
Run by franchisee Confidence Ekeanyanwu, this newest Central Florida outpost will join a diverse lineup of food and beverage establishments in Apopka such as Miller’s Ale House and Apopka Garden Grille & Bar.
“I chose Coldstone Creamery due to my love for Ice Cream and so while on the path of entrepreneurial discovery, I was fortunate to combine my love for this line of product and ambition,” Ekeanyanwu tells What Now Orlando, explaining that this is her second store.
“The Ocoee store opened November, 2021 and this Apopka store is set to open on or before, December 11th, 2024 pending its business license application currently pending with the state and city.”
When asked why she chose Apopka, Ekeanyanwu says it was “due to its proximity to the existing location where brand coverage makes most sense for profitability. More importantly, Apopka is a ripe market for Coldstone since there isn’t any in Apopka and excited about the upcoming and redevelopment going on within the city’s center project. Recently, a Millers Ale House opened in the same location as the coming store which is anchored to the brand new Winn Dixie on Main Street.”
No opening date has been announced.
