According to franchisee Vijay Dattani, Cold Stone Creamery aims to open two new locations in the Orlando Area. The national ice cream brand is notable for its high-quality ice cream and bold flavors such as Cake Batter (invented by Cold Stone) and the legendary Founder’s Favorite, which is made up of sweet cream ice cream with pecans, brownie, fudge and caramel. These two upcoming stores will be Mr. Dattani’s 7th and 8th franchise locations.

Dattani tells What Now Orlando that the first new store is set to open between the Dr. Phillips and Buena Vista areas at 11020 Daryl Carter Parkway around March 2023. Dattani tells What Now Orlando that this location will be a draw for both local residents, especially given that the location will share a parking lot with a neighboring apartment complex, The Bentley, and for tourists, who will certainly be passing by on their way south, to the world-famous Disney theme-parks.

The second location is set to open in May 2023 in the Winter Park Corners shopping center, at 1951 Aloma Ave in Winter Park, taking over the space of a former Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt. Dattani tells What Now Orlando that he is particularly excited about this store, dubbing it Cold Stone’s “store of the future.” This location, Dattani explains, will feature an entire second line dedicated to facilitate the flow of online and delivery orders from apps such as Uber Eats, Doordash and Postmates

When asked why he has chosen to build a career out of Cold Stone, Dattani says the product was the draw. “I firmly believe that you can’t sell anything unless you personally believe in the product. There are a lot of ice cream brands out there, but I don’t care where you go—we have the best product. In 17 years I have yet to hear a complaint that a customer doesn’t like our ice cream.”
