Pastaccini Pasta Bar, a simple but ambitious Italian restaurant, is currently near the end of its permitting phase and aims to make its debut at 5407 W Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy in Kissimmee by October 31st, co-owner Enrique DeLeon tells What Now Orlando. Pastaccini will be run by both Mr. DeLeon and Sarah DeJohn.
According to DeLeon, the restaurant will serve classic Italian dishes such as pasta with sauces such as alfredo, amatriciana and pomodoro sauces along with a selection of Sicilian subs.
When asked what will make Pastaccini stand out from other Italian restaurants, DeLeon laughs and says “We are the best! I’ve tried every Italian restaurant in Orlando and they are very conservative, mediocre at best. Everything here is going to be made in-house, from scratch.”
While such bold declarations may inspire skepticism, DeLeon boasts a notable background with a Hospitality Management degree at the Panamerican University of Mexico City and a Culinary Arts degree at Johnson & Wales in Rhode Island, with experience refining his craft in the US, Mexico, Italy and France.
In addition to DeLeon’s stellar CV, co-owner Sarah DeJohn has over 25 years of experience in the food and beverage industry. “She is a brilliant culinarian,” DeLeon tells What Now Orlando, “Without her help, Pastaccini would have been just a dream.”
