Legacy Cafe, an upcoming restaurant, will be opening at 710 S Tampa Avenue in Orlando, according to a recent filing with the State of Florida. The restaurant will be part of The Heart of West Lakes Wellness Center, “a resident-focused health and wellness center designed to strengthen the 32805 community by providing convenient access to holistic health, financial, and lifestyle services under one roof”, according to its website.
The plan review was filed by Chuck Simmons, a Chef based out of San Diego. His most recent professional experience as a Lead Chef at Seacrest Village Retirement Communities suggests he will be more than prepared to direct and prepare food for a health-conscious community. Prior to this, Chef Simmons was an Executive Chef at Coach Stop.
What Now Orlando recently reached out to Chef Simmons, but he was not immediately available for comment.
Founded and funded by organization such as AdventHealth, Orlando Health, Florida Blue, Dr. Phillips Charities and the Truist Foundation, the center is sure to be a unique new presence in Central Florida, offering spaces for fitness, healthcare, dining, and co-working.
