Local Ocala independent favorite Big Man’s Cafe is cooking up a new location, according to recent public records. The family-owned soul food restaurant will soon be found at 9425 SE Maricamp Road.
“It’ll be pretty much the same menu,” owner Gerald Christian tells What Now Orlando. “Right now, we’re probably 95% set up. I’m waiting for Tallahasee to give us feedback.”
When asked why he decided on Maricamp Road, Mr. Christian points to popular demand.
“We get a lot of people from this shore. We just happened to find a location that we thought was good location.”
Unfamiliar readers can expect hearty breakfast and lunch servings in classic southern US style—biscuits & gravy, smoked sausage, grits, and oxtails in the AM, wings, loaded potatoes, and hefty sandwiches in the afternoon.
